Thank you community partners

This Thanksgiving, Bowling Green High School wants to take a moment to thank our community partners for supporting our Career and Technical Education Department this year.

Our partners help our school prepare students for successful futures by providing state-of-the-art equipment, generous donations, sharing expertise as guest speakers, and serving on our advisory councils.

Contributions from our community are truly making a difference. THANK YOU!

MEDICAL ARTS ACADEMY

“The Medical Arts Academy at BGHS is so thankful for all of our wonderful donors and partners in all the ways they support our students. It takes a lot of financial support and donations from our industry partners to keep our program running effectively. From donations of supplies like needles, syringes, gloves, and alcohol swabs, to EMS training tools, CNA nursing lab beds, and financial contributions that keep our HOSA students participating in regional and state events, our donors help keep our program running! We are deeply grateful for every supply and dollar that goes toward training our future healthcare workers!” - Elizabeth Clarke

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE AND HVAC

“My industry partners are the reason our program has grown every year. They have donated materials such as wire, switches, conduit  that are not grant funded but used daily in class. They have built real work industry trainers that motivate and educate my students. They donated tools yearly as the number of students grew 10 fold in the program. They donated money to fund the membership of our student's Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)- SkillUsa. Lastly they donate their time by coming to the school to speak to our students, teach a class, offer field trips and be on an advisory board. My industry partners  are a substantial reason for the growth and success of this program. My thankfulness and appreciation can not be measured.” - David Loveland

CULINARY DEPARTMENT

"Bowling Green High School Culinary is extremely grateful for our community partners. Students are able to gain real world Culinary experience through chef demonstrations, university tours, and hands-on experience in our classroom. Through the support of our partners students have made life changing decisions about their future career and gained experience to further them in the field of culinary education. Cooking food is so much more than the food that you prepare, it is about the people you prepare it for and with. We are very thankful to have such strong community partners that support our students and give them incredible opportunities!" - Mckenzie Whitis

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

“The BGHS IT pathway benefits from strong community and industry engagement. Key partners, such as engineers from CISCO and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), contribute through advisory roles and speaking engagements, detailing career opportunities across the local, regional, and state levels. This pathway is further strengthened by work-based learning internships provided by the BGISD Tech Team. Students gain hands-on experience in the basic repair of Chromebooks and PCs, coupled with instruction in fundamental networking concepts.” - William King

“Thank you to our Early Childhood Education Sponsors who help grow the programs by getting students involved in the community; as well as providing workforce experience. Students are now working in a child care center off of campus in the afternoons and over breaks. MARKETING

Our Marketing Pathway sponsors have played a huge role in helping our FBLA students grow and succeed beyond the classroom. Because of their support, students have been able to attend Regional and State Conferences, gaining valuable leadership and career-building experiences. Also, the past few years their generosity has also made it possible for our members to travel to National Conferences in Orlando and Anaheim. These are opportunities that truly broaden students’ horizons & we are incredibly grateful for the impact our sponsors have on our program and our future leaders.” - Shawn Savage
