Jackson Smith, Governor's School for Entrepreneurs

BGHS Junior Jackson Smith has been selected to attend the 2024 Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs. GSE is a three-week immersive “Summer Startup” program for high school students in grades 9 to 11, and held on campus at either Thomas Moore University or the University of Kentucky.

Several BGISD students saw their names on the Wall of Winners and were recognized on stage at the STLP State Championship, held at the Rupp Arena and Central Bank Center March 27, 2024. The competition included submitting and presenting projects, competing in live challenges, and visiting hands-on learning stations as part of a new STLPx (STLP Experience).

The Purple Brew Coffee Shop is open for business. The shop is operated by Bowling Green High School students including daily food and drink preparations, financial transactions and reporting, marketing, and curating the menu. This hands-on experience gives students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting at school.
